Mr. Murner joined the Knight Architects, Inc.(KAI) team in 2002 as a Project Architect. Prior to joining KAI, Mr. Murner's professional experience ranged from small scale interior renovations to multi-million dollar transportation hubs. He has experience in government, healthcare, retail, educational and commercial architecture including hospitals, schools, office buildings and retail centers. His career has seen involvement in all phases of design from master planning to design development and construction documents through construction administration. |
| As a Senior Project Manager with Knight Architects, Mr. Murner has led AE design teams in the successful completion of numerous design-build and design-bid-build projects ranging from educational and athletic facilities to federal and healthcare work. In addition, Mr. Murner actively participates in U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Value Engineering (VE) Studies as the architectural team member. This experience, along with Al's ability to creatively resolve complex design and construction issues, has proven to be a valuable asset in keeping projects on schedule and under budget.
Recently, Mr. Murner managed the fast-track design for the John & Mary Brock Football Practice Facility at the Georgia Institute of Technology. This $9.2M project was awarded, designed and completed in ten months. Professional Status:
